And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. -Hebrews 11:6
As I was getting ready this morning, I was reminded that I needed to trust him with the unknown. I told God that I hate not knowing anything, especially the future. Then I was gently reminded of His love and goodness, how far he’s brought me from where I came from.
We focus too much on circumstances that we forget to be grateful for everything else he has done in our life. Ever notice that our attitude turns real ugly when we focus too much on what’s going wrong?
When God tells me and you to trust him with everything it doesn’t mean that we just sit idly. What it means is I choose joy and accept his peace and rest in the midst of everything. I don’t have a negative attitude just because things aren’t going the way I want them to. Trusting is all about attitude and accepting that this is where I am currently, and I am going rest in it. I am going to rest on his promises.
Prayer: Lord, I choose to trust you in all circumstance. Forgive me for complaining, grumbling, and my lack of faith. I thank you that in you I live a victorious life. In you I have all things I need to live a godly life. I praise you for you are sovereign and a good, good Father who is forever faithful. Amen.
