I’m reminded of a scripture today, “LORD, do not forsake me; do not be far from me, my God.”
I think I can speak for all of us who has or is feeling this way. We feel abandoned and that he simply doesn’t care. His timing is too long. Why hasn’t anything good happen? We want to give up, can’t hold on any longer..
It is hard. Been there, done that.
Feelings are irrelevant. The heart is deceitful and we can’t trust them. If I know in my head that God cares and that he hasn’t abandoned me, then why do I feel this way? Once again, there goes the feelings. This is because we haven’t learn to “receive.”
When was the last time we said to God, “Thank you, Lord for your love. I receive your love and peace today. I receive your wisdom for my day.” Contrary to what we feel, our spirit will receive it if we pray. And as we wait upon the Lord for answered prayers, he will make us courageous and strong.
Mark 11:24 says I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe you have received it, and it will be given to you.
Do we believe we have received it? Believe. Be encouraged!
