I went to bed yesterday grieving. Woke up this morning with mixed emotions.
This is not a political post. 🙂
I am grateful for AMERICA. I love her and will stand with her and pray for her. Pray for its leaders and those in authority.
You see, my mother and father came here from Vietnam when they were 18. They were sponsored by a lovely Christian family. My husband came here with his entire family when he was only 8 and was also sponsored by a Christian family.
My husband’s family toiled more than half of their life in Vietnam making about 1.00 a day. My mother was wealthy. She had maids and lived in a comfortable house and ran many businesses with grandma and uncles. Yet, she chose to come here to start a new life with my father.
It’s been a couple decades and now they’re living a blessed life. Each family runs their own family business. They are able to bless others by sending gifts back home to those who don’t have much.
I tell you all of this not to brag… that we can remember and be grateful regardless who’s in authority, we are still blessed. We are blessed to be living in America and have such great opportunities. Not only that, but to able to freely share the gospel, anywhere! Had not my mother come to America, I’d still be in Vietnam and not known Christ. It’s really sad to think about it and not far from the truth either! Vietnam is a communist country.
We’re extremely blessed here! And I’m truly grateful for this land. I’m not going to say Jesus is King, He’s in control, blah, blah.. I’m sure you’ve heard that all week.
What I will say is that.. now is not the time to be divisive because we all know what satan wants. We are to stand together, love one another, intercede, and keep sharing the gospel. Let’s all unite and pray for America and its leaders. We don’t bash our leaders, we pray for them, we love them whether we disagree with their views or not. We’re made for so much more, to be a LIGHT in this world, in this blessed nation!
This is only our temporary home, but we still need be to good stewards of it. We have to be faithful right where we are until He calls us home. Amen?!
Love to all!
