You’ve waited and waited for answers; now you’re feeling angry and resentful. I can’t speak for everyone, but I can speak for myself. I’ve been there. I know what it’s like to wait on the Lord for years and feel discouraged!
One thing, just don’t stay there. Feel that anger and then pray, don’t let it poison your spirit.
Let me remind you of some promises:
I love the Lord because He hears my voice and my prayer for mercy. Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath! I saw only trouble and sorrow. Then I called on the name of the Lord: Please, Lord save me. How kind the Lord is! How good he is. So merciful, this God of ours! -Psalm 116
We can rejoice, too when we run into problems, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. – Romans 5:3 & 5
Prayer: Lord, I want things to be done now and hate the waiting part. I am sorry for complaining. Forgive me. Thank you for the continued strength and peace to endure this challenging time. Thank you for loving me in my sin and anger. Thank you for lovingly convicting me when I am wrong. I give my burdens and weary heart to you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
