In Trials He Reminds Us

Tragedies, hard times, trials, and the pressure of life reminds us that we need a Savior. We need His comfort, His love, peace, strength, joy, etc. We can’t do this life on our own. It is Him who can only give HOPE to this lost world.
God doesn’t just allow things to happen, but He allows them for a reason, to show us all how helpless we are without Him.

Could you imagine going through life with all the trials without Him? It’s unimaginable. Now that I look back on my life, I often think, wow how did I make it out alive? I’m sure God had and still has His hand on me.

I’ve lived on my own since I was 15 years old. I left home and my mom moved to another state without me. We still kept in contact though. She didn’t give me any financial or emotional support. I was all alone at a young age with a boyfriend. I had to find work on my own. I worked many odd jobs, yet they never lasted. Neither did I had a stable place to stay. It was ongoing and tons of pressure for a teenage girl. It was until I reached the age of 20 and got reunited with my dad that my life truly turned around. (Parents are divorced.)

Similar to how when we first received God into our life, everything dramatically change for the better. I knew without a doubt that God sent my dad back into my life.
He’s a business man and traveled a lot. I rarely got to see him, but he supported me financially and emotionally. When my dad and I got reunited, he took care of me, he took on my burdens. He got me a stable place to live, a car, and provided income while I was in school full time. I needed to finish getting my high-school diploma and college degree. Life came together for me. It was amazing! Although, I was a Christian and walking with the Lord, I wasn’t fully committed. I was in and out of church.

As you can see without God we’re left wandering alone in this lonely dark world. You can have friends and family and yet, your world can still feel incomplete. The day that my earthly dad walked into my life, everything changed, for the better. Just like when our heavenly Father comes into our life, everything shifts and we’re never the same.

Don’t go through life without the Father. Remember, that in and through everything we NEED Him. Sure, there’s evil among us, but the good outlast them all. Why? Because God is ALWAYS good. Not only is He good in the good times but also in the bad times. He works through people to remind us of His goodness and why we need Him.

Okay, I’m in tears writing this. :)
Love to all. Have a wonderful and Merry Christmas.

  1. Hi !

Your blog is pretty awesome, even I don’t believe in God…Maybe it’s because of my family isn’t religious and I’ve read too much. I’ve read The Bible 4 times already and still I just see things behind the words and I think that only some people can see the REAL meaning of The Bible. As some wise man has said: ” My mind says that I can never understand it. My heart says that I’m not meant to understand it.” I’ve always wanted to talk with someone religious human and change opinions about Jesus and all this Christianity-thing. I don’t how should I end this comment because my principales deny me to say “God bless you” so I’m just gonna say “bye” if you don’t mind :D
    Bye Bye

  2. Thank you for sharing Janice. I was deeply touched. My story is similar to yours, my father left home when I was 6, and I have never see him since. I hope I can see him and get his support again, I need a earthly father as well… but I thank God that He is my home, your post really helped me and inspired me. Thank you!

  3. I lift up my life to The Lord. I am having health issues that is foremost on my mind. I pray constantly for healing and for the healing power of The Lord to restore me to good health. Just found out I have a blood clot in my leg . With my Christian faith I know The Lord will heal me.

I was so blessed to see this blog post. You’re right about everything. It is only God that can satisfy our needs, because He knows us better than we know ourselves. The wonderful promise of God awaits us :) Jeremiah 29:11.

  5. Beautiful !!! . I became a Christian 3 yrs ago, like you i wondered thru life and by the Grace of God dont know how i made it, but in 2008 my husband abandoned me and took my 6yr old step daugher whom i raised, shortly after i lost my home, car, job, and family as well as friends, but in 11/2009 i got saved and almost homeless when a couple from my church opened their home to me, im am still there and God is slowing restoring things as he continues to work on me to bring about his plans for my life…, thank you for sharing your testimony ,
    God Bless you :)

    • Wow, Tracy! I think you’re going to have a wonderful testimony as well.
I know that for me the future didn’t look bright but at the time I never thought about my future, only the present. God has great plans for those who love Him.

  6. What a wonderful testimony Janice! Thanks for sharing that. Our lives are our testimonies and I always say that God is “Seasoning” me. Much like how we season food to our perfect taste and liking, I know that he is using the trials and tests of life to Season me to his will and satisfaction. I know that he will continue to Season me until he calls me home and my only hope is that I can give him all the glory that he so rightly deserves! God Bless us all and Merry Christmas to you and your family. <3

  7. I was surprised when i knew that you had a hard life when you were younger. I could very well relate with you. I felt a pinch of hurt in my heart as I was reading your post. It’s really a great-great blessing that Jesus came into our lives and made wonderful changes..truly, no one could ever love us as He does.
