About-Face Missions is a prayer and missions minded group of Christians using Facebook as a platform to connect everyday Christians with ministers and missionaries serving on the foreign field. Feeling strongly that every Christian is mandated to be involved and engaged in missions in some form, and yet that most are not currently doing so, God planted this idea within me in mid-May of 2011. The thought of connecting lay people directly to missionaries and foreign pastors through Facebook and leveraging the ensuing relationships to pray daily for the Pastors and missionaries seemed to make sense. And there have been a handful of occasions where we have teamed together to financially invest in advancing God’s kingdom around the world.

Our small group of Christians had grown to 90 people within 3 months and been responsible for roofing a Church in Kenya, buying a milk cow for a Kenyan orphanage, sending a church in India on a mission trip, paying for education for a high school boy from Uganda, and sending around $2,000 for bibles to our ministry friends in Africa, India, and the Philippines.

Pastor Munir Sahid, standing in white on the right, worked with AFM to free the Shahmon family from slavery. Mr. Shahmon had been a bond slave for more than 20 years since his youth. They were freed in October, 2011.

If you want to be apart of this mission, please use the donate button below. We will use 100 percent of the proceeds for this outreach.  Even $10 a month for those of little means will buy 15 people or more a year a Bible who could never afford one on their own in a 3rd world country! Or help build a Church or buy food for many orphans cared for by Christians around the world.
