I often get asked this question often, how in the world do you do it all, 3 Facebook pages and a blog, family, and volunteer. It’s not an easy I’ll tell you that.
“Yahweh answered me, “Write the vision, and make it plain on tablets, that he who runs may read it.” Hab 2:2
I was given this challenge by my previous Pastor to write down my vision and one of it would be to encourage and use my gifting. I wrote it down and ran with it. Here I am. You can read more on my testimony at the About Me tab. Click here.
With that said, the annointing God’s given to me is different than the anointing He’s given to you. My talents, gifts, desires are all from Him and is exclusively for me. What I do will never work for you because we’re all created to do different things!
I can clean my house from top to bottom, dust everything off in my home, file all documents in home office, cook a full meal from scratch, knock out a blog post and post 16 statuses a day for 3 FACEBOOK pages in less than 3 hours, and then volunteer, get fully dressed and attend bible studies/church and run errands.
How in the world do I do that? Well, God created me like this. He knew that I could handle it. Now if you tried that you’ll probably pass out or end up on medications!
To me this is a balanced life because in the midst of all I still have lots of time for my family, reading, hanging out with friends, and relaxing (naps, watch junk on TV lol). Albeit, there are days when I can’t dust my tables, vacuum, do dishes, cook from scratch and that’s when my husband steps in and helps me. I’m not super woman after all!! I just have a wonderful helpmate that God has blessed me with but I try my best not to burden him because I am not doing my share, remember family first then ministry. And then there are days I get weary, who doesn’t? That’s when I press into prayer, praising God, seeking Him out that I am renewed in strength! Only in Him.
This is why it’s so important to not compare! Comparing steals our joy. It makes us lifeless. Your ministry could very well be your family, serving in a church and maybe that’s all you can handle, that is okay. I am not better than you because I can do more. Doing, doing, doing, does not make me acceptable in God’s eyes. He searches my heart and motives.
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost Titus 3:5
Praise God for what you do. We are all serving alongside each other in order to bring people to God. Be encourage in that! Remember, before anything you are a first a Christian, wife/husband, mother/father, then comes church/ministries. God will bless everything you do.
Doing devotions early mornings will give you peace and God’s guidance through the day. He will order your steps. It never fails. It is not by my might, my power but by His spirit I am able to do what I do in a day and still have time for other things!
Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of hosts. Zechar, 4:6
Hope that answer lots of questions, if not you can always post them below or message me. I pray daily for my readers!
A tip I wanted to leave to all those trying to balance everything:
You can only get by when you’re stretched to your limits, but to become excellent in any given area (as a mom, an employee, dad, ministry, etc) to rise to your own potential consistently-you must be healthy. rested, and focused, not preoccupied with stress or rushed with deadlines or ruled by the tyranny of the urgent. -Charles Swindoll (Saying it well, touching others with your words book)
